2008 Young Living Annual Convention

The next Young Living Annual Grand Convention date has already been set for June 11-14, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The weather will be cooler than in July, yet warmer than in September.  The best part will be that it is just before the Lavender Harvest so you’ll have the opportunity to experience the energy from the Lavender before it is harvested.

To help you count down, I’ve included this count down clock.

Re: RutaVaLa – NEW OIL BLEND !!

Ruta is an oil that Gary discovered and distilled in Ecuador. Here is some
information on Ruta. The VaLa is Valerian and Lavender.
Edith Chupp

Ruta: (Graveolens)

Ruta is one that helps with depression. Several people were applied with
Ruta on the back of the neck right in the concave at the base of the skull
and an hour later they reported that all depression was gone. A couple of
ladies had been on several kinds of medications for 12 years and nothing had
helped and with just one application all depression was gone.

Also another lady used Ruta because she has terrible menstrual cramps and
irregular periods, had start her monthly early upon arriving in New York.
In a short while after applying Ruta, all her cramps disappeared, along with
slowing down to normal flow instead of a gusher. Five days have gone by
since using Ruta and still doing great.

It improves the attitude, depression and modulates the brain function,
fevers, menstrual cycle, rheumatism, aches and pains of all kinds, (like a
source of a modern aspirin) and it reverse stickiness of the blood
platelets. Ruta comes from the Greek word meaning “To set free” freeing
people from disease.

Ruta comes from the Greek word meaning “To set free” freeing people from
disease. Ruta has been distilled before, but not in 30 years and is a
different profile from previously distilled Ruta, long carbon chains and
nonynol 2 – modulates brain function. Chemical imbalance comes from diet
and makes chemical transformations in the body, makes it hard to get out of
depression.

Gary places some Ruta Graveolens on the back of the subjects’ neck, on the
soft spot before base of skull, (hits neurotransmitters) a good place to put
the oil. Ruta – look up in pubmed – says it’s toxic. Gary explained later
they generally test compounds and not complete oil, so that is why they say
it’s toxic. But when you look at the whole oil you can see that it is safe.

Balsam Fir decreased cortisol whether inhaled, oral or topical, as much as
42% reduction, average 28% reduction, o eucalyptol increase oxygen in brain.
So with Ruta this would be a good combination.

Ruta Graveolens – many articles claim that it’s toxic, especially to the
liver and could even cause death. Ecuadorians and Bolivians have used it
for centuries and still use it daily. If people are depressed they brush
the branches on the body and in the air, it affects serotonin in the neural
cortex. The people who had abortifacent issues with Ruta are from HUGE
doses (like a basket full of EO). Ruta is powerfully therapeutic. Negative
effects are with doses of many bottles of oil at once. They said a whole
teaspoon of oil showed toxic liver effects. Who takes a teaspoon of
straight oil? From a meeting with Gary Young.

Made it to D.C.

Well, after a long drive from Bartonsville, PA, I’ve made it to D.C.  Well, actually, I’m in Clinton staying with some friends.  I left around 6:30p and arrived at 10:30p.  Would’ve made it sooner but got lost about 15 minutes away.  Don’t you hate when that happens!?

Young Living’s Annual Grand Convention begins tomorrow.  I’ll have to get up early to get to the train station so I can arrive by 7:00am to register.  It’s been a long few days.  I worked on the holiday and returned on Tuesday during the day and then went back and worked that night.  I didn’t get any sleep between the shifts and about 45 minutes on Wednesday just before I left.  I am thankful that arrived safely and without any incidents.  My greatest blessing is discovering that my car is getting what appears to be about 10% more gas per gallon!  Yippee.  Send ‘em on down.

Catch y’all tomorrow as I detail the events of the convention.  For a schedule you can click here: Young Living Annual Grand Convention 2007

Harmony®, Lemon & Thieves®

I love reading about people’s experiences with Young Living Essential Oils and Essential Oil-Enhanced products.

Below, Adrianne, shares her experiences with the oil blend Harmony™, the single oil Lemon and the essential oil-enhanced household cleaner, Thieves®. Ok, Thieves is a strange name for a product (in the testimony below it’s “stealing” stains). Tomorrow I’ll just have to share with you the story behind the Thieves® line of products, how they got their name. In the meantime, read Adrianne’s experiences below. If you’d like to read more testimonies, go to the Oil Testimonials by clicking here.

HARMONY™ FOR ALLERGIC REACTIONS:
So today I went to Costco with my son almost 3. When we go food shopping we usually go to a store that has healthy options. Fruit, cereal, etc. To keep him happy and occupied and make it a fun experience he gets to taste a variety of healthy foods. Costco is getting better but still needs some time at least the one local to me before they meet what I want my family to eat regularly.

Anyway, he wanted cereal. Walking down that aisle there weren’t too many options of whole grain or unprocessed primarily had only commercial brands. I eventually stumbled on one relatively decent granola by Nature’s Path. I typically don”t by this one in health food stores due to sugar (Evaporated Cane Juice). Anyway he had a few nibbles and then stopped and I was curious why so soon. But I didn’t put much thought about it initially.

As we checked out I noticed the skin below and around his lips get blotchy. I get concerned as this occured several months ago where most of his body was covered in hives and blotches (which BTW was alleviated with Purification™). I checked my stash of oils with me looking for Purification™ or Peppermint and didn’t have any. The blotches started increasing and checked in with him if he felt OK. He said fine but I could tell he was uncomfortable perhaps he was feeling something but didn’t know how to tell me. His reason for stopping to eat this cereal I now know is his own inner knowing.

So then I remembered use what you have. So I searched again and found Harmony and remembered my dear upline Elaine always encourages Harmony™ for allergic reactions. While in the store I put some on his ears had him inhale and then some on his thymus. When we got to the car I removed his shoes and placed Harmony on his feet. He asked “What are you doing mommy?” So I explained.

I took several deep breaths on the way home knowing it was a short ride less than 10 minutes to me being able to get Purification™ (which worked previously) or something else. When we arrived home it was all literally all GONE! I had no more need to use anything else. It that amazing. I plan to return the cereal even though my husband will eat it but I don’t want to take chances of my son eating it again. I believe he had a reaction to the Sesame Seeds in it as this seems to be a sensitive for him that I overlooked today.

LEMON AND THIEVES® HOUSEHOLD CLEANER
I brought my car in for an oil change a few weeks ago and there was some grease the mechanic left on the steering wheel which ended up on my off white shorts. I rubbed lemon oil and the sprayed with Thieves® Household Cleaner and water combo. Most of the grease was gone before putting into the wash. After the wash it was completely GONE. I use the same thing on a pair of pants that had a oil stain from salad dressing all gone too!

Isn’t this trully remarkable to have our oils to assist in every area of our lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read. Have a great day!

Adrianne

My NingXia Red Hair

Berry Young Juice Liter BottleIn or around March 2004 I started drinking this super-antioxidant food called Berry Young Juice.

It was made of Wolfberries, known as the miracle superfood from the NingXia Provence in China; Blueberries which are known for their ultra-high levels of antioxidants; Pomegranate, also know for its antioxidants and its supports of cardiovascular health; Apricots; Raspberries, which contain ellagic acid, a DNA protectant;Lemon and Orange Essential Oils, which are both high in the antioxidant d-limonene known for cancer prevention.

I noticed the increased energy immediately, probably because it revamped my circulation by pumping it full of oxygen which essential oils are best known for (they are excellent oxygen transporters … who knows where they get it from but they carry it to all your organs and your brain!).

As the months went by, I began to notice increased strength as I toted with ease my 3-4 bags that I carried around the NYC subway system, up and down stairs and escalators. I noticed one evening while staying in the city at my Mom’s as I took the shuttle from Grand Central to Times Square, that although I was carrying a back-pack loaded with books, my handbag and one other shopping bag loaded with office supplies, that I was quite energetic. I no longer felt the exhaustion that I used to feel at the end of the day. It might as well have been early morning, considering all the physical energy. My arms didn’t ache, I didn’t have to keep switching the bag from one hand to the other, not even on the 4 block walk to my Mom’s.

A couple of years ago, Berry Young Juice, got a new look and a new name: NingXia Red (pronounced Ning-Shah)

NingXia Red liter bottle

It is now 50% Wolfberries and has almost 3x the antioxidant power that it had as BYJ (Berry Young Juice)! It even tastes a lot better (not that it was bad before). When it was BYJ I drank about an ounce each day, which is considered the maintenance level if you are in good health. When I learned about all the benefits of the new and improved NingXia Red I started drink a minimum of 2 ounces each day. I drink 1 ounce in the morning and 1 ounce in the evening.

I especially like drinking it while going through the 5-day cleanse when you are supposed to consume an entire bottle within the 5 days. By the 2nd day on the cleanse the skin on my face glowed and I looked younger. LOVED IT! I almost wanna stay on the cleanse. Hmmmmm. Maybe I’ll just get to the point where I earn enough to drink a bottle a week!

Anywho… this year I noticed that my hair was no longer breaking off. It probably was happening a lot sooner, but I kept my hair cropped for about a year. I finally stopped cutting it and noticed that I wasn’t seeing broken hair strands in my bathroom sink anymore. Also, my hair is longer than it’s ever been. It used get only as far as the nape of my neck. It is now passed my collar bone. I think they call that “shoulder length”!

Now THAT’s exciting, well at least to me, who comes from a family that seems to prize long hair. My Mom would always tell me whenever I cut my hair “Hair is a woman’s glory.”

I’m glad for NingXia Red and my NingXia Red Hair (although my hair isn’t red). It’s evidence that I’m healthier too. I found out that NingXia Red is 16% protein and is completely available to the body within 2 hours of drinking it. I don’t do any weight-training, but anyone who does aught to take note.

The “Jena Six”

Dear Reader,

Something a little different for this site, or not: injustice. I just have
no tolerance for it .

I just learned about a case of segregation-era oppression happening
in Jena, Louisiana. I signed onto ColorOfChange.org’s campaign
for justice in Jena, and wanted to invite you to do the same.

http://www.colorofchange.org/jena/?id=1883-224611

Last fall in Jena, the day after two Black high school students sat
beneath the “white tree” on their campus, nooses were hung from the
tree. When the superintendent dismissed the nooses as a “prank,” more
Black students sat under the tree in protest. The District Attorney
then came to the school accompanied by the town’s police and demanded
that the students end their protest, telling them, “I can be your best
friend or your worst enemy… I can take away your lives with a stroke
of my pen.”

A series of white-on-black incidents of violence followed, and the DA
did nothing. But when a white student was beaten up in a schoolyard
fight, the DA responded by charging six black students with attempted
murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

It’s a story that reads like one from the Jim Crow era, when judges,
lawyers and all-white juries used the justice system to keep blacks in
“their place.” But it’s happening today. The families of these young
men are fighting back, but the story has gotten minimal press.
Together, we can make sure their story is told and that the Governor
of Louisiana intervenes and provides justice for the Jena 6. It starts
now. Please join me:

http://www.colorofchange.org/jena/?id=1883-224611

The noose-hanging incident and the DA’s visit to the school set the
stage for everything that followed. Racial tension escalated over the
next couple of months, and on November 30, the main academic building of
Jena High School was burned down in an unsolved fire. Later the same
weekend, a black student was beaten up by white students at a party.
The next day, black students at a convenience store were threatened by a
young white man with a shotgun. They wrestled the gun from him and ran
away. While no charges were filed against the white man, the students
were later arrested for the theft of the gun.

That Monday at school, a white student, who had been a vocal supporter
of the students who hung the nooses, taunted the black student who was
beaten up at the off-campus party and allegedly called several black
students “nigger.” After lunch, he was knocked down, punched and
kicked by black students. He was taken to the hospital, but was
released and was well enough to go to a social event that evening.

Six Black Jena High students, Robert Bailey (17), Theo Shaw (17),
Carwin Jones (18), Bryant Purvis (17), Mychal Bell (16) and an
unidentified minor, were expelled from school, arrested and charged
with second-degree attempted murder. The first trial ended last
month, and Mychal Bell, who has been in prison since December, was
convicted of aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit aggravated
battery (both felonies) by an all-white jury in a trial where his
public defender called no witnesses. During his trial, Mychal’s
parents were ordered not to speak to the media and the court
prohibited protests from taking place near the courtroom or where the
judge could see them.

Mychal is scheduled to be sentenced on September 20th, and
could go to jail or 22 years. Theo Shaw’s trial is next. He will
finally make bail this week.

The Jena Six are lucky to have parents and loved ones who are fighting
tooth and nail to free them. They have been threatened but they are
standing strong. We know that if the families have to go it alone,
their sons will be a long time coming home. But if we act now, we can
make a difference.

Join me in demanding that Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco get
involved to make sure that justice is served for Mychal Bell, and that
DA Reed Walters drop the charges against the 5 boys who have not yet
gone to trial.

http://www.colorofchange.org/jena/?id=1883-224611

Thanks.
